I knitted a sweater from alpaca/wild silk yarn. Easy pattern and great yarn to knit.
In the scenery of Halikonlahti... knit a double alpaca silk polo shirt with a double collar from top to bottom according to the Drops instructions. Sometimes the only light stripe in the handmade thread falls into place by chance. The bottom rib was open from the sides at first, but it turned enough that I did it again without cracks.
The yarn is Ruukkin Kehräämö alpaca/wild silk yarn, needle 4, finished knit 340g. Knitted with Jonna Hietala's Ystävä pattern.
Alpaca/wild silk scarf from single strand yarn. 100g of yarn was used.
I tried knitting a sweater with two yarns. I used alpaca silk yarn and suri alpaca. A warm sweater was born that was just right for the Northern Norway trip and other trips to come.
Thank you, Leena Rajala, for the incredibly expert yarn count guidance! Leena recommended buying two skeins and assured them that they would be enough. There was a little bit of yarn left. About 250g of silk alpaca was used.
A cardigan made of alpaca-wild silk yarn for a toddler.
A warm shirt for the son's daughter for the winter. The girl found the model in the "Lovely Icelandic wool" book. The alpaca wild silk thread was so thin that it was not necessary to leave anything out of the original pattern.
The black patterns are Teddy Bear and RedHeart's Lisa Lurex. Size 143. The alpaca yarn had a wonderfully soft texture and plenty, about 10 meters remained from 200 grams.
Sweetly soft wool and beautiful natural colors from alpaca!
It's nice to find a thread made of natural material that doesn't itch even directly against the skin.
It was lucky that I found you at the Tampere handicraft fair! I'm looking for something wonderful, high-quality, preferably domestic yarn for a wonderful homemade sweater - thanks to you, now I have a dreamy sweater ready, and it doesn't even itch the atopic's skin ❤️🙏🏻
Both your ready-made clothes and the clothes and accessories I knit from the yarn are my favorites and are constantly in use.
You can't get such wonderful yarns anywhere else.
